Common Questions

Is your design service only for full home projects?

Not at all. We enjoy working on projects of many sizes and understand that not every client is looking for a full-scale design engagement. We love helping clients at all stages of life — from furnishing a first apartment or home to refining more established spaces. Not every project needs to be large to be meaningful, and we’re always happy to offer thoughtful guidance, practical ideas, and sourcing support tailored to your space, goals, and budget. We can also guide you toward impactful DIY improvements, helping you make meaningful progress in a way that feels approachable and achievable.

Can you work with furnishings I already own?

Absolutely. Some of our best results come from combining what a client already has with thoughtfully chosen additions. We’ll assess what works, what can be repositioned or restyled, and where a few new pieces will make the most impact — without replacing things that don’t need to be replaced.

Do you help with sourcing and installing for design projects?

Yes. For design projects, we manage the sourcing and installation process from start to finish — coordinating suppliers, deliveries, and styling so the experience is as seamless as possible.

Can you help source furnishings at different price points?

Yes. Great design is about knowing where to invest and where to simplify — not simply spending more. We work across a range of budgets and are skilled at identifying where quality makes the biggest difference and where a more accessible option serves the space just as well.

Can you help source high-quality furnishings — including brands I may not know yet?

Absolutely — and this is one of the most rewarding parts of the work. We bring genuine knowledge of quality brands across a range of styles, and love introducing clients to makers and collections they haven’t come across before. Knowing where to look, what’s worth the investment, and what will hold its quality over time is a core part of what we bring to every project.

There’s also a practical advantage worth knowing: working with an industry professional gives you access to trade pricing not available through retail. Better quality, better selection, and often a better price — one of the real benefits of working with a designer.

How involved will I be in the design process?

As involved as you’d like to be. Some clients want to be part of every decision; others prefer to hand the project over and trust the process. We adapt to how you work best — keeping you informed and included in the moments that matter, while handling the details that can feel overwhelming.

How do I get started?

Start by gathering a few inspiration images — photos that reflect a look, feeling, or colour palette you’re drawn to. They don’t need to show the full picture; a photo you love for just one thing (a mood, a material, a specific piece) is just as useful as one you love entirely. A few photos of your actual space are also helpful so we can see what we’re working with.

Then think about how you want to feel and function in the space. Write down the things your home needs to support — whether that’s reading quietly, entertaining friends, making room for kids or a dog, or simply having somewhere to land at the end of the day. The clearer we are on how you live, the more intentional and personal the result will be.

From there, we connect to talk through your goals and shape a plan together. The process is meant to be genuinely enjoyable — focused entirely on making the most of your home, in a style you can’t wait to come home to.
